Dear Friends of Beaver Watershed Alliance,
As the year draws to a close, we are reflecting on the many accomplishments and successes which were a direct result of your efforts and stewardship. It has been a wonderful year of working with landowners, meeting new ones, working with current partners on watershed projects and programs, and fostering new partnerships within the region, and beyond. It really is people who make a difference and we are inspired by your generosity, whether it’s through your time volunteering, attending a program, opening your farms, forests, and streams to educate, as well as your financial giving, guidance, and support.
We are most thankful for this past year’s efforts and look to build on the successes and learn from its challenges. The 2022 new year will be busy, but exciting, as we are taking on updating the Beaver Lake Watershed Protection Strategy, developing watershed success metrics, and further developing Source Water Protection programming for agriculture, forestry, streamside, and urban land use to better meet the needs of the watershed area. We will also be focusing on project implementation with partners, including low impact development, soil and water health projects, stream restoration, and riparian rejuvenation. Stay tuned for project updates and milestones!
From all of us at the Beaver Watershed Alliance, we wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year.
