West Fork Stream Restoration Project

This project aimed to implement a natural channel design to restore at least 1200 linear feet of stream on the West Fork of the White River. Restoration designs were based on an approach that emphasizes natural channel design. Landowners were encouraged to participate and provide additional funds through an easement program. The project will also promote natural channel design and increase awareness of the benefits of stream restoration to the public. The partners of this project include the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Beaver Water District, the West Fork Environmental Protection Association, and the Washington County Conservation District. This project was completed in 2010.
