
Let’s celebrate all things War Eagle Creek and War Eagle Creek watershed together! This beautiful area accounts for 1/3rd of all water entering Beaver Lake–the drinking water source for 1 in 5 Arkansans. This celebration will be going on May 29th – June 6th, with a variety of options for joining in on the fun!
Save the date for the 22nd Annual War Eagle Appreciation Day! War Eagle Appreciation day will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Withrow Springs State Park’s Keith Ham Pavilion in Huntsville. This free event will feature live music, a complimentary lunch, and family-friendly activities. Activities will feature local organizations with educational and interactive activities focused on water, wildlife, history, tourism, and more. More details to come!

We invite you to float the War Eagle and see its beauty while also giving back by picking up litter to keep it beautiful. All who participate will be entered to win an extra raffle prize at this year’s War Eagle Appreciation Day event! Join us for a free family-friendly movie night to watch two local conservation films on Friday, June 5th from 6 – 7 p.m. at the Basham Community Center in Downtown Huntsville! The Alliance, Northwest Arkansas Land Trust, and community partners will be showing free film screenings of “Bridge to War Eagle” and “One Acre at a Time” to kick off the annual War Eagle Appreciation Day festivities!
