This project aimed to educate landowners in the West Fork sub-watershed to promote Best Management Practices. In doing this, the Washington County Conservation District goal was to reduce the rate of nutrient runoff and sedimentation which occurs in the watershed. The project included providing landowners with management plans, as well as cost-sharing options to aid with the cost of implementing the more expensive BMPs. The partners of this project were the Watershed Conservation Resource Center, Arkansas Natural Resources Commission, and Natural Resources Conservation Service. This project was completed in 2009.
