Lake Wilson Cleanup & Native Plant Walk

July 24, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

July 2022 has been proclaimed by Governor Asa Hutchinson as Lakes Appreciation Month in Arkansas. With over a half-million acres of reservoirs in Arkansas, summer is a great time to encourage all Arkansans to appreciate the lakes of our Natural State by participating in recreation and stewardship activities. All life needs water, let’s not take it for granted!

Join the Alliance for a fun evening at Lake Wilson to celebrate this hidden gem of a lake! In partnership with Pack Rat Outdoor Center and the City of Fayetteville, we will be hosting an on-the-water cleanup (bring your own boat, canoe, or kayak) to remove litter and fishing line, as well as a native plant walk around the shores of the lake. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring water and bug spray.

RSVP: RSVPs are appreciated! Please text 479-750-8007 or email info@beaverwatershedalliance.org with your name and number of attendees to RSVP for this event.

Directions: The park is located at 4668 S Lake Wilson Road. From Fayetteville, take Morningside Drive south of 15th Street for approximately two miles. Morningside Drive becomes City Lake Road; turn left on Wilson Hollow Road. Follow the gravel road over the White River, then turn left on Lake Wilson Road.
