Happy Lakes Appreciation Month! Lakes Appreciation Month is an annual campaign in July, with partners across Arkansas working together to raise awareness of the value and importance of our local lakes and reminds us all where we would be without them. Northwest Arkansas is fortunate to have Beaver Lake, which supplies drinking water to 1 in 5 Arkansans.
To bring awareness to this, the Beaver Watershed Alliance is partnering with Beaver Water District and our local libraries to celebrate throughout July. On July 23rd, we will be at Pearl’s Books for a storytime and activity from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Come learn about the importance of water and take home some free goodies!
Bring your kids to one of the scheduled water themed storytimes with activities or visit the Lakes Appreciation Month display to learn more about what we are doing to protect this beautiful lake!
